Acuity Scheduling: pricing, features and fit
Acuity Scheduling lets clients choose an appointment, complete intake questions and pay through a connected processor. It suits a business that wants self-service booking alongside its website and other tools.
Is Acuity Scheduling a fit?
Consider it when
An appointment-led practice, consultant or service team that wants customers to book without exchanging messages. Count the calendars and identify the intake, reminder and payment requirements first.
Look closely if
Calendars and advanced options vary by plan. External automations may need another subscription and someone to maintain them. Check each connection separately if several systems must stay in sync.

How Acuity Scheduling works
- Set appointment types and hours
Give each service its own duration and availability. Decide which calendar represents each staff member or location.
- Connect the tools you need
Choose your payment processor and outside calendar. Add the intake questions that are necessary to prepare for the appointment.
- Share and try the booking page
Embed the scheduler or share its link. Test a booking, a reschedule and a cancellation with made-up client details.
Try one real booking scenario
You have an outside calendar meeting at 10am. Check whether it blocks Acuity availability, then move the appointment in Acuity and inspect the connected event. Decide which system staff should edit.
What to ask during a demo
If your outside calendar becomes busy, when does the booking page stop offering that time? Ask the provider to demonstrate the sync direction and delay, then reschedule a booking and check its payment and confirmation. Decide which calendar staff should edit so the change stays consistent.
- Confirm the exact plan's calendar limits and access to required messaging, time-zone, class, intake, and staff-management features.
- Confirm that the intended external calendars and payment processor work for the account and location, including the needed sync direction and availability-blocking behavior.
